Originally I had her standing with a calm ocean, blue sky, fluffy clouds and a tiny island in the background, but after looking long and hard at it, I realized that I didn't like it. It just didn't say 'Cynder' to me. So I re-did the ENTIRE background to give it a more stormy, overcast look. I personally think it fits her better.
I think she has a lot of my own style of drawing dragons than the traditional 'Spyro' look, but I'm still happy how she turned out!
I really like this picture! And just by looking at this dragon with her crouch and glance behind her - heedless to the incoming waves I sense an air of mystery about her that I find intriguing. Your poses tell so much about a character and the stormy background is very fitting. (I'm not sure how it looked before but I love that there's some action going on in the scene - it adds a little excitement!) I really love your style of dragon, Fyre, I've looked over several and yours I find to be one of the best fits for them: Strong and slender, simple (none of those needless over done decorations) and believable, and I love the wing structure. You're incredibly talented and I grin each time I see you've added to your gallery. Keep going! Okay, here's the nit-picking: I really like the effect of the water and it's far better than I could do, however I think it needs a little more white where it hits the rock. And if the rock gets beat by the water so much. Just add a touch of realism, like the dragons have. (Goodness, I realized what I said. LOL. Ha, pity.) The clouds as well. But excellent job! I love the texture of the rock she's standing on and good shadow as well. Also good on the distant mountain.
This is just incredible! You made my night, this is fantastic! Cynder has always been my favorite character from the series and this...this is just spot on perfect! It's so Cynder.
It think you definitely made the right choice in background. The impact of it fits her so well. I love your technique of how you did the water and I like the texture of the rocks. Her tail and body are excellent, and her wings...gosh I love her wings! Her eyes are beautifully done, her claws and scales are very, very nicely done.
This has to be one of my favorite art works of Cynder. Your technique is just so great! With each new work you do you just get better and better. I never know how you'll top yourself but you manage to every time. Bravo! You are amazingly and wonderfully talented me friend! ^_^
