Ignitus and Spyroby *FyreDragon5

I've been in a Spyro mood for a while, so I'd thought I'd fork up some fan art of these two!

If there was one thing that bugged me throughout the ENTIRE "Legend of Spyro" Trilogy, it was how similar Spyro was to Ignitus! I mean c'mon, they have similar horn structures, the first element that Spyro mastered was fire, he not only looked towards Ignitus as a mentor/father figure, but the way Ignitus almost treated him as if he were his own son was the icing on the cake for me!

SERIOUSLY! WHY DID ACTIVISION TEASE US SPYRO FANS FOR THREE GAMES AND NOT CONFIRM THAT IGNITUS WAS SPYRO'S FATHER?!? IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOO OBVIOUS! *Pant...Pant* ...Okay, I think I'm calm now... *Twitch*

I know it's been four years since the final LOS game was released, but I'm still a hardcore fan! And I love these two soooooooo much! Ignitus would be the perfect dad for Spyro! Raise your hands if you agree!

I must say that I absolutely adore this picture. While I am not familiar with the Spyro World/Universe, I am taken by the loving watchfulness of the red fatherly dragon. I truly enjoy your style of art Fyre, the way your characters seem so genuine and awesome - the pose and expression bring it out so clearly. Well done, and please, when will there be more?
(I am aware that this is fan art, but you're the artist of this.)
My only critique would be the shading: I think that if the light source is from above, the wing would shadow Spyro a little more. But beyond that I find the picture touching and excellently displayed. I can make out the textures and I love the coloring. You're clearly inspired FyreDragon5. Keep it up.
Also, I raise my hand, I can see this pair as family - father and son.

Fyre this is just awesome! You captured them SOOOO perfectly! *sqeek!* You're just too much!
This is so cute. I just want to pick little Spyro up and hug him! And who doesn't love Ignitus?
The impact is spot on. I think you really captured how much Ignitus cares for Spyro. And I completely agree. Why they had to tease us all that time and then never say that Spyro was his son is beyond me. After all it makes perfect sense.
The technique...well, are you kidding? You did AMAZING! It looks like artwork taken from the games! The colors are great, the expressions are perfect, and really nice job on the shading.

Very nicely done Fyre! Excellent job!

Maybe Activision thought a Father Figure was better suited for Ignitus.

i really wish the LoS series continued as cliche as it was it was a VERY awesome series and i totally agree Ignitus has always been there for Spyro and was the first dragon to protect him from Cynder's ape army back when he didn't know how to fight

it's sort of like how Mr. H is for Neku ( he's a guardian Angel that guides Neku and gives him advice from time to time)

I love the older games with Ignitus... and its a shame they made spyro so ugly in skylanders

This is too cute

But I don't believe Ignitus is his real father.
I really wish they didn't mess up the games so badly. They had so much potential. I really hope we will get a rework one day or something like that.

Yeah..
Thanks to Activision the third game was messed up.
It was said somewhere that Spyro's mother was planned to be in the third game.
Now, notice how it just says his mother.....

Really? I had never heard that, but it would have been cool if they had included Spyro's mom in the game. Ugh...I agree, Activision really messed it up.
