Shifu closed his eyes, and without willing them to, several events of his life flashed through his mind. He saw them all again in seconds. Though his good memories were strong, the bad ones were even stronger…
Yet another cover art I did for my friend BlueAutumnMist! This is the second chapter in the her three-part Kung Fu Panda story. It is beautifully written, and I highly advise that you viewers read it. Yes it's a heart-wrencher, but I still love it!

I cannot express how much I love this picture. What is it about trial that is so fascinating? I'm conflicted because I hate for Shifu to be in that position, but (for conflict's sake) I love that he is - clinging to a rock while the storm rages on relentless. This is a powerful image, demonstrating a perfect blend of desperation, danger, and sorrow. Very well done with the rain and the shimmering water over the body. Also I love the effect of the word 'Regret' also in the rain. Honestly I really wish I knew more on the story because I'm dying to know what's going on. Why is he clinging to the cliff-side? Why is he crying? Will he make it?! Your art tells a story, Fyre, and your figures are so expressive. That's what I love about your art.
Poor Shifu, he looks so sad. It's hurting me seeing him like this.I'll try and read the fic, it seems so interesting. Anyway, amazing job and keep up with good work.
You know, this strongly reminds me of a scene for a fic I've been slowly working on. It's basically about what happened to Shifu between the first and second movies. (It seems there was a gap there, and Shifu did a bit more growing between the two.)
Uuuuugh, knowing what's about to happen, this is really heart-aching to look at.
(And I have yet to write back about Obsidian Blade. O_O Really, I'm trying to find what to say. You blew my mind.)
Yes. XD I could not stop. I had to at one point to go to work, but I finished it that same night. Once it got to the big fire, I just had to keep going.
I'm trying to decide on a scene to draw. So many to choose from.
Hmm.... I could also do a collection of soft-colored sketches that look more like this ([link]) than a fully "rendered" picture. Do you have a preference?
